I started preparing to switch jobs and have done a couple of interviews so far and looking for more opportunities. I am thinking of using open-to-work setting in LinkedIn with a privacy setting visible to only recruiters. LinkedIn says recruiters on your company will not be able to see it but they can't ensure complete privacy. Has turning on this setting helped? Has it caused issues to anyone?
Not particularly useful because you will indeed get dozens of messages but 95% of them are from 3rd party recruiters for some startups of the few big names in finance. Plus you can't prevent HR in your company from using a secondary account / external "services" to see your status. Just apply on the company's website or ask for referrals.
Not an issue at all as long as you don’t work at the company with less than 50 employees. And, there’s nothing wrong with switching the job. If your company blames on you for your career move, that’s the issue with your company.
