Using personal laptop at amazon

Can we bring our own MacBook Pro if we have bigger screen like 15 inches? Wondering what the policy is at Amazon

SAP hurhurder Oct 12, 2018

Im sure amazon has some hardcore confidentiality clause that will get you in trouble. Just request a bigger monitor to plug in?

Requesting a bigger monitor is a big no no against the frugality principal.

^ really? WoW

You can, yes, as part of the BYOD program. The laptop would have to be imaged by IT and managed by Amazon, and any previous laptops issued by Amazon would have to be returned (you can only have 1). The only exception to this is if you wanted to use a workspace on it and connect to the guest network. But under no circumstances are you allowed to store data on, or connect a personal laptop to the wired network at Amazon without first having it imaged by IT.

Why won’t you just request for a 15 inch Mac? Your manager would very likely say yes I would think. If that is not permissible, then reimaging your personal laptop is the only option.

At Oracle we can bring a notepad and a pencil. It's as efficient as our assigned 2 dollar pocket calculators
