Anyone know what it's like working here?
I date someone who works there and have met their work friends (all engineers). They seem to all be nice people who really enjoy their work.
I know
What role?
totally depends on the role you have. for me: super unmotivated lately. no chance in hell of moving up in the company at any time in the foreseeable future. wouldn't be surprised if dozens/hundreds were laid at any time. used to love the passion around the office. haven't seen anyone really motivated in awhile
I'm imagining hundreds of engineers getting laid at any time
Yes it completely depends on where you work within company. My team has felt a slightly renewed sense of motivation, as has my department. But at HQ the energy is definitely not like it used to be. Fact is, Wall Street has been brutal to us. If our stock was 25+ per share I'm sure we would be singing a much different tune.
Pretty bad. Some great people, but terrible leadership. I'd be amazed if there are not more layoffs
Wouldn't recommend it to anyone
Gonna be a tough year, but I still love working here.
I have been at Fitbit less than a year. I like it. might not be the dream job, but my coworkers are very capable, manager is great, and their agile implementation has been the best I've seen. I currently am exploring a side project and am getting lots of support. I plan on staying for at least the next year and seeing if we can get things strong again.
