Job market is brutal for SWEs 🥲
Moving locations and trying to make a career pivot. Split between two offers I think would be good for growth. Interested in opinions and insights. @OP DM me if you want to know more
Boeing is a terrible place to work. Outdated processes, slow, no desire for change or improvement, horrible parking, facilities are from the 80’s, workforce is bottom of the barrel just waiting to retire and if you’re a high performer you’ll get everything dumped on you. No cross functional collaboration with other business units. Annual salary increases are minimal at best and for many years no one received one due to production failures. Advancement is stymied. One thing I learned is if a position is open, it’s because someone left due to all the above, or there is a massive fire to put out. Steer clear!
