Hi Blinders, I need help comparing these two offers. I am a Full Stack Dev in Java with 6 years YOE. SAP Conur: Expense Team TC: 180k Remote and I stay in a LCOL area Stack: Java, React, AWS Position: Developer t2.3 JPMorgan: Consumer and Community Banking(CCB) TC: 200k Location NYC, 2 days in Office Hybrid Stack: Python, React, Flask Position: VP I’m confused because both teams where nice, and sounds like a promising work. Eventually I’ll save more in SAP but JPM is offering higher position and I get to live NYC life. SAP tech stack aligns with my current but JPM is using Python which is not a problem but not sure if it is okay to change stacks in between.
SAP concur? It's a decent product that I used for my Vegas trip lolol
Bcz you can concur the world?
fyi VP just means senior developer
Yes I understand that! What do you suggest?
GAP unless you really want to be in NYC. And even then, you can join bloomberg or many better companies than chase based in NYC. Which org for CCB?
SAP. Unless living in NYC is your dream. And you need/want your social life to come from your work colleagues. Otherwise you can move to an area where you have friends and the things you want.
Hows wlb at JPM? I heard you use VPN for daily work and developments? Any specific review of CCB?
no not vpn you will sign in a VDI (unless you’re issued a mac)
SAP. Better technology and since SAP is a big name technology company, it will be good in the long run.
Any feedback on CCB org?
$180k is pretty good for LCOL remote.
That is a surprisingly good offer for SAP
I would say think twice before joining to sap concur
💯 - and I work at SAP Concur.
SAP for awesome work culture and employee perks ( I don't know about JPM)

Hot take (Bay Area only)
JPM for NY
Can you explain why? Thanks!
NY area provides better mobility as compared to a LCOL area which typically have less employers , more mobility means more chances of finding a better job
