Have a Facebook E6 TPM offer with 430K TC and Cruise with 470K TC. Need input on the following to make an informed decision. 1. How’s work life balance and culture at Cruise ? 2. When do we expect cruise to go IPO. 3. Cruise recruiter said that yearly bonus for meets expectation is 40% . Is this information reliable? 4. How’s Facebook culture for TPMs

40% bonus means you're L6. If you're offered L6, then it's correct. I don't see a reason why a recruiter lies about the bonus. I think the 40% is written in the offer.
I agree. The recruiter wouldn’t lie about it. Although folks at my level are eligible to get 40 percent bonus at Microsoft, an extremely small percentage of people get 40 percent. So I wanted to get a sense of things from people within the company.
@OP at L6/L7 80% of the staff gets the 40% bonus. 10% gets 50%, 5% gets 60% and 5% gets less than 40%
Breakdown of offer? In general the pros about Cruise are 1. The mission is dope 2. Huge stonk upside 3. I'd say pretty cool folks The downsides are 1. You need to play serious politics to get ahead, fuck your team, your users, etc. Find a big project and deliver it and fuck everything else 2. Non liquid stocks although we did have a liquidity event back in may, who knows…IPO is at least 2-3 years away 3. Slow burn, there's a long way to go, it's a marathon etc. Expect slow progress and few impactful events in the next few years due to the nature of the tech
