It seems people believe the most intelligent thing to do is not have emotions at all. To be effective is to be a machine, a product of the age. A well-oiled, consumerist-serving, digitally attuned, highly unaware but overtly operational robot. And so we suffer. - from “101 essays that will change the way you think“
It takes a while to evolve and realize how freeing it can be to have true emotional connections. You don't have to be a robot. Took me 38 years to get there. Highly recommend it.
What?!?!
It’s for incompetent people.high EQ comes naturally
"It seems people believe the most intelligent thing to do is not have emotions at all." Who believes this? A person without emotions would lead such a limited life without experiencing human emotions, what's the point?
If you have to ask, you probably don't have enough
That's what she said
Very naive to believe that. No matter how much emotions you have, there are ways to optimize your emotions to maximize the gain. Optimize, not Remove.
I ask this question: “You're in a desert, walking along when you look down and see a tortoise. It's crawling toward you. You reach down and flip it over on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over. But it can't. Not with out your help. But you're not helping. Why is that?”
Do normal people actually believe this?
Throughout my life so far I have sensed that, people believe intelligent people have less or no emotions.
