Interviewed with Netskope recently and I did pretty well. I am waiting to hear back from them. YoE 15 with 10 years in networking. What’s the TC of staff and senior staff in Netskope? Current Base: 165K (l am stuck at this base and there has been no raise) Do they have potential for IPO? What’s the compensation I should ask for? I suck at negotiating so need some help from the blind community to understand the Netskope compensation for similar experience.
Really hard to guess when a company will go public. But if I was to guess, with such a late stage investment from Sequoia (and other big name VCs) they probably will have pressure in the next years to IPO. Not sure what the comp packages are for those levels but you might want to read up on negotiations to get stronger at them or hire a coach. I think these two guides are pretty good. Base pay is inline with industry. So use what others have got with any other company around here as a reference. Stock options are tricky. Rule of thumb would if company valuation were to double in 4 years, how much are they worth? Again, it should be inline with the industry. If not, negotiate! Bonus/Refresher are hard to come by. So, make sure you can happily live with your TC for next 2/3 years or so.

Salary is below standard and stock is extremely diluted. If you have other options then do evaluate them as well. Engineering management is a total crap with no concrete direction. Everyone is just waiting for some sort of magic that can push them towards an IPO. The product is good but has fallen into wrong hands. Think hard before you join. There is a lot of commentary on blind about it.
Agree with engg mngmt being total crap. CEO might already be looking for replacement after recent performance management snafu
The Engineering group leaders at netskope are extremely biased and openly promote favoritism. Worse than Cisco.
The guys who interviewed were very average and I am going to refuse the offer. Mostly the folks are from juniper and they don’t even know what they are asking and neither they follow what’s been discussed. May be the core team is so strong that they made a successful product.
