What does it mean to have a bunch of McKinsey contractors hired in "strategy" roles
'Peer crows' is a funny phrase 😂 But, wtf are you even trying to say?
I think I got you. Visa is trying to be another GM or Cisco after a Microsoft employee brought all of his former colleagues to Visa. Is that right?
He bought all his peer crows?
lol - this is the most cryptic sentence I have seen today. It’s very riddling and I dig it but answer to the riddle is that you work in Data platform team?
Do you guys why OmPrakash Maniyar is been sacked ?
I just checked the LinkedIn page and the dude is referring himself in 'third-person'. Is your post all about that????
Your English is too cryptic dude. Who is this OmPrakash guy anyway?
I mean, I’m not really sure what you’re trying to say but I can say that yes, there is a diversity issue here at VISA. 96% of the people on my floor are from India. Maybe another 3 percent are from other Asian countries (China, South Korea). There’s just a few Americans, and just one ☝️latinx employee on my floor (me). I feel extremely alienated at times and it’s impossible to make work friends. Life at work used to be very challenging for me because I felt there was no one like me who cared to talk about any sort of shared life experiences. Its slightly better now that I work from home and I don’t feel so ignored at the office. It’s honestly so sad. I wish Visa cared more, but apparently they want cheap labor at the cost of a diverse culture of people who aren’t from India.
You are delusional if you think Indians are cheap labor in the US, or in Visa. This isn’t a country where a dark skin Indian gets paid less than a white (or brown) Latinx. These Indians are here because of merit. FWIW - instead of feeling depressed you should feel proud being unique on your floor.
I never said I made any more money. I think we’re all underpaid compared to other engineers. I don’t feel depressed, don’t know where you got that from. And I do feel proud, not sure why you assumed otherwise. Maybe instead of putting words in my mouth, you can look around your own office and make sure your fellow coworkers feel welcomed and supported. Be part of the solution
Ok. What’s your TC?
