Hi, I got an offer for Software Engineer position with HomeAway as part of Expedia Group Base: 118K Sign on: 10K Relocation: 12K Target Bonus: 10% No Stocks. Location: Denver YOE: 3 years Is this a good offer considering the location? Is it comparable to what the parent company expedia pays? I have no idea if everyone is treated the same within the Expedia Group. How is the WLB at HomeAway? I was expecting some kind of stocks but they are not willing to give. Would the HomeAway employees get additional benefits like yearly stocks after working few years? Thanks
This is good offer considering the location. Go for it
Good offer, take it
Same yoe. Same position. Similar offer from homeaway, but its Austin. Not sure of how the cost of living is compares. I liked the office at Domain and heard good about the work culture. Only a 25% bump from my current salary. Still accepted the job.

Canceling debt isn’t inflationary or costing tax payers
I'm guessing SDE I? That's pretty close to the max offer. Don't expect many stock awards. Their award for being a top performer is 20k/4 years, and the stock isn't growing much. At Expedia, the WLB is great, but I'm not super sure on HomeAway
The recruiter said that it’s a mid level engineer and my title will reflect as Software Engineer, but is equivalent to Software Engineer 2, the next level would be Senior Software
That's on the lower end of SDE II, then. They can probably go up to 140k in cash and a 12 or 15 percent target bonus, assuming they've aligned with Expedia's pay bands
