Now that it is official. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/05/26/broadcom-announces-plans-to-buy-vmware.html. Should I wait and see ? (I am a top performer in my org/SaaS group making some revenue and management) and start interviewing immediately as if job is going to end? Seen enough about Broadcom's style of aquisition. #broadcom #vmware
Hey, does anybody know how stable/safe Vsphere is in VMware?
If I’m not mistaken is their main cash cow so afaik very safe. They know it can’t stay that way forever hence the shift to cloud saas, hoping it is the next big profit center
Oh thanks for the insight. I have a good mts 2 offer for this team and I might like the work ...but this Broadcom acquisition makes me sad🙁
Which org in saas group?
Can folks who said "wait & see " give some rational surrounding the choice? So other understand your viewpoint.
If you are a top performer and in core business, you should be good. I would wait & see. Refreshers at Broadcom are better than VMware.
In decently revenue making saas group not definitely in vsphere related stack
DM for referral… Tough times to believe in a takeover, look at Twitter
Broadcom is famous for cutting R&D and maximize profit.

Broadcom and VMware seems to have little overlapping. I heard Broadcom pays well too. Why panic for your job?
