VMware New Grad Offer Evaluation Hi all, my son just got a job offer with VMware as a Pre-Sales Systems/Solutions Engineer in the EUC group. He wants to know how competitive the offer is, any feedback is appreciated: He has an B.S. in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science from Cal Poly with 3 previous summer internships as a SWE intern at Cisco, Verizon Media and 1 part-time job as a Solutions Engineer at a start-up. Offer details: Location: Atlanta, GA 90K base, 23K commission (113K OTE), 7.5K relocation.

Tell your son to leetcode and he can do better
He should take whatever he can get with a good company as long as the offer is reasonable. It’s a pandemic and he’s a new grad. He will learn no matter where he works.
No stock? I am in the final round (new grad) and I told my recruiter that my salary expectations was between $130k - $140k. She said that sounds great. I’m most likely not going to take it because career growth is not the best at VMware.
