VMware Tanzu offer
Hi blinders got an offer from VMWare Tanzu for P2 but interviewed for P4 basically they downgraded based on my performance. Current TC: 165K New TC: 165K (140 base, 10% bonus, remaining RSU) same TC YOE : 10 Location: Atlanta Should I join ? I feel I am starting over my career again. It’s demotivating. Please advise. #swe #software #engineering

This is a really bad offer. Don’t go by promise of promotion. I agree with previous posts that you should decline. If the recruiter wants you to accept, ask for P3 and higher base and RSU. Which location is this?

P2 is basically step above entry level. Although base is nice for Atlanta
Its your opportunity to enter a Tech company. I don't know how's rhe tech at Home Depot, but here you'll learn a lot. Try to negotiate your pay if not the title. You will be fine.
Technology at homedepot is improving a lot , moving to cloud , updating everything to latest tech stack. Definitely lot of learning. I tried negotiating but it didn’t work.

No. Joining VMware is career suicide even if you didn’t get downleveled. Makes no sense to take this offer.
