Curently VP of finance @citi TC180k 12YOE Previously BIG4 audit for 10 years Leading teams doing - month-end close, - reg reportting, - FP&A and - some technical accounting Where are “senior finance” people finding such roles? i am scouring linkedin, indeed and Fortune 200 career websites and cant find senior enough roles at name brand companies (except some fulltime technical accounting roles, which i am not interested in). My target TC is 250k in major cities - eg NY/SF.
Is it the case that in finance, instead of eating 🍿, you guys eat 🍟? 🤣🤣
😎
Oh Snap, that’s right
yeah.. vp finance at citi is like sr FA/manager elsewhere.
I hear ya.. but it depends. That’s why I go by YOE and role rather than by titles.
I work at CHUBB Insurance and there is a VP role open in whitehouse NJ. We do not promote internally.
I’m interested in your background, we have an opening for this role
We use head hunters for VP roles and sometimes directors too. However our direct application channels are usually open too so you can bypass the headhunters. Sometimes strategic openings are not advertised openly and exec search looks for people discreetly
I would guess exec recruiters / headhunters but also internal promotions. But I think external team lead roles are tough to come by as they will generally promote from within as processes and company knowledge are important and they want a career path for the grunts to aspire to (hiring in an external team lead will be demoralising)
