Sounds like a great deal at Citi
For VP at Citi, that’s unheard of. What is the breakdown of base and bonus? What is your functional role?
Breakup is yet to receive, 250K is inclusive of both .. VP in test management in Corporate and Finance
“Demanded” Lol
Why are banking titles so inflated? Everyone is a VP. “VP for you, and a VP for you! Everyone gets a VP”
As a VP - I think it's dumb AF...I don't even put it in my signature.
seems very low for 15 yoe, maybe ask for 380 to test water, least they can do is giving soms numbers in between. 250 is more like 1-2 yoe
Not at Citi which doesn't qualify as a "tech" company
ops got a VP job! Tech VP making multi millions, Citi is a huge bank and you saying they cannot pay VP 400K? I am making almost that much and I am only a lowly IC
From my understanding VPs is a job family with a really high payband, so it doesn’t matter what you ask, you’ll get it if they think you’re worth it.
VP at Citi (or really just in finance/banking more generally) is very very different from VP at a company like Amazon. Here a tech VP is probably making a minimum of 2M/year
VP in the finance industry
immediately add “Incoming VP” to your LinkedIn. Everybody is eagerly waiting
This is good, i was told 195 is the max. What is your breakdown?
Don’t have it yet..
Yeah base for a VP at Citi in tech and opps usually tops out around $200k. However their bonus for back office and tech is usually peanuts (5%-15% of base). Whatever offer you got sounds really good for a VP level. It’s more inline with an SVP/Director level (C14/C15). VP is C13.
Thank you for helping make up my mind!!
This is faked news, my sister works at Citi as Senior Director and hired many VPs and SVPs in NYC, top of the band pay for VP is 160K and bonus is 1-3%, she told me offer never go past 145K base without a very serious meeting with HR on why it is so "high". If you want high TC, look elsewhere, on the other note a job at Citi is very safe and stable.
Too late now, you already negotiated. Seems like a fair number though.
