Their glassdoor rating is pretty abysmal. Has anyone worked there? whats it like?

Any idea about the tech stack and culture? How is Charles Schwab?

I think a big reason for the poor glass door ratings is the call center. To be honest that job is going to suck anywhere (taking calls from the general public all day). That being said, you'd probably be better off in a call center elsewhere, they have a really high churn in the call center here. As for IT, culture can carry across divisions. Overall, pay may be lower but benefits are good and work / life balance is pretty good (outside of a few groups, experience can vary across departments).

Yeah, call center work for finance companies is brutal. A lot of what I’ve done in the fintech space is fixing old ways of doing things so users can self-provision what it used to take a phone call to do. I like it here, and my team is pretty awesome. I don’t know how things are outside the CX Labs, but they’re good here.

Are you in a software role? How do lunches work for you?

Don't join, worked there for a year as a "Java developer" and didn't code a word of java. When I left I days this to my manager and he said "well you work for a tech department of a financial company not a tech company" Also nepatisim is big on the company.

It’s a company that actually cares about its employees. Good WLB. People are genuinely good. Tech stack can be great on one team but suck on another. Not a lot of people are top tier in tech talent, so you want to be pushed technically it’s hit or miss, but if you want to lead or coast it’s good.

Former employee. Loved it at first. Then no job growth, no promotion, no work life balance, and politics got in the way. Benefits were good; pay was well below market. A bit of a cult of personality and if you were liked by leadership you were golden - but if not, dead end career.
