Thank you man! Do you mind sharing how your experience has been like at SAS?
SAS is a good company if you have family. Not sure for how long SAS will remain being such a good company since it is IPOing sometime soon. The only three true profitable industries for SAS are government, finance (insurance, bank, risk, etc) and healthcare. If you are being considered for a different vertical (retail, education, utilities) I would think twice. My advise, assuming you begin working for SAS today, if you are not promoted in less than 18 months, look elsewhere. Promotions happen in March/April. If you truly believe you outperform your colleagues, you could request a promotion in October/November. Ask for promotion! No director opposes to promotions from Associate to Sr Assoc ever. If you don’t actively ask, many managers don’t put efforts into that.
