Anyone can tell what the interview process looks like for this role? How much salary to expect? I have interview with them next week? How is verizon overall to work for? Benefits details? Role is based in Richardsons, Texas
Expect some behavioral questions and answer them with the STAR technique. Prepare a few stories of past experience challenges and successes to answer those questions. Be able to talk about the technologies on the job description and how your experience relates. If the job title is principal or distinguished engineer you are band 6 expect 20% bonus plus 10k Rsu’s and base pay anywhere from 100-200k depending on experience. (Prob more towards the lower middle if the range. If your title is like engineer 3 or sr cslt engineer I would say anywhere from 85-105k base plus 6k rsu and 10-12% bonus. Title really matters.
Verizon pay is that low for Network Engineers? Do they require coding experience for automation?
Verizon pay is horrible.. it’s a great place to beat and rest.. hard to get fired. Also the $10K RSUs are vested over 3 years! So stupid lol.
Verizon interviews are your typical run of the mill unlike these new FAANG bullshiite
What is the WLB for Verizon? I am a full time realtor looking for a role that is like 20h max per week. Can I get that as a network engineer in Verizon?
yes you can, my friend work only 2 hours max a day, pay is like 140k but he works as realtor making million
This is a joke right? @cYPT78
Hey did you get the role? Can i dm you?
I recruiter cancelled the interview as they terminated the position(most likely went with someone else) at the time. Few weeks later recruiter reached out as it became open again but I was already in AWS by then. I guess sometimes things work out for better.
Can't tell you much about the interview process nor salary without knowing the org and band for the role is in but Verizon overall is pretty solid place to work. You won't make TC that is thrown around here on Blind but decent enough especially in Texas and good stability. Benefits at Verizon are very mature and robust.
