Verizon interview
Hello .my application still shows recruiter review from more than two months after final interview with Hiring manager .Should I lose hopes and search for other opportunities or just wait until the status changes to something else ? Not clear if I am rejected as HR doesn’t clarify it either .#hiring #recruiting #jobopening
Very likely you are stuck in the middle of the holiday slow down.
Typically there's a freeze during the first quarter. You might continue your search just in case so you're not left with no job.
I dont want to be a bearer of bad news but they have finalized a candidate which is different than you, once that candidate is officially onboarded your application status will change to "position closed" They dont update status for other candidates just so they can reach back to you if the finalized candidate is not successfully onboarded for any reason
I know someone stuck in "recruiter review" too. For her it's been since the second week in November. She reached out to the HR rep she has been talking to for the position and they just keep saying they are still reviewing and will be contacting her soon to set up the next interview. No idea what's going on. 🤷
Doesn’t necessarily mean it’s closed, the hiring managers leadership could have been asked to slow or freeze hiring, or just key approves being out of office… But it also isn’t a great sign if you haven’t heard anything from the Hiring Manager giving an update or why the delay.
Your “hiring manager”could very well be gone Verizon laid off about 8,000 people their last day was 12/30/22.
Most likely there is a freeze
