Visa, MasterCard, Square, PayPal and digital currencies

It seems America and the west are switching to digital currencies. The payment companies can't leach 3% off the economy anymore. Any angles for how they will survive or pivot?

Lol are you kidding me? We aren't switching shit. Cryptocurrency is still a niche nerd thing. Come back when I can pay at Walmart with bitcoin and get 2% cash back

There's a country called China. They don't use crypto currency. They don't use Bitcoin. They blocked Visa and MasterCard in their country because they didn't want to become dependent on their digital payments network. The digital currency is dministered by the government. Similar system in the US and other western countries is coming

How about instead of 2% cash back you get lower prices by default. That's what happens when you don't have to pay Visa and Mastercard 3% on every transaction
