Does anyone have any experience with Visible by Verizon? I have applied for a Lead Product Manager - Customer Experience because it fits nicely with my skill set and interests. However I know very little about Visible. Would love to know thoughts on the product organization, the company, leadership and pay (including level). For reference I am currently a group PM (L6). TC: 240k, +15 YOE
Visible Network in a Box (NiB) is a sinking ship all lead Eng and manager has left the Engineering team. But if Visible NiB get retired you will probably be assigned to another product to manage. I wouldn't be worried.
Uh oh. Should I be concerned as a Visible customer?
Run
Can you elaborate?
I worked there for a year it's a mess and a sinking ship. Some really talented and hardworking people but overall massive turnover and low moral.
~190k base, 15% bonus, 10k RSU. I got an email from a consultant who is helping to hire. Sharing here as a point of reference.
Thank you. While the base salary is higher than my current, overall total comp would be less.
Wow, that RSU package is soo tiny
I've been using visible since March 2020 and am very happy. I also moved a few family members. Our monthly bill went from ~$200 a month to just $75 for unlimited everything. The service is great in the bigger cities, but make be very poor in smaller cities. It also lacks 3G and roaming
Visible Employees are given the same benefits and pay as Verizon. Pay ranges are posted for most positions due to Colorado law and the HQ being in Colorado. As far as culture goes, the people are great but direction is lacking. Definitely doesn’t move as fast as a startup due to Verizon bureaucracy and lack of resources in engineering. The “Lead” Experience Manager title is misleading as it’s an IC PM role.
I’m ok with IC. I spend a lot of time now dealing more with people issues than getting to build out anything. I miss the excitement of launching new things
DM, can share some info
Run. DM share more…
Seems like a Band 6 position. Your total comp at Visible will be lower than what you are currently on. Bonus is up-to 20% and depends on group performance. RSU 10 K a year. Mid salary for Band 6 is 140K
Heard from friends that the Feedback Survey score for Visible business team was pretty bad. A lot of empty talk at the leadership level and not listening to feedback from ICs

The end of Backdoor Roth?!
Did they quote you a comp competitive with 240? That sounds high for customer experience managers in most of Verizon but visible is different. Full remote still?
This is a product manager so I was assuming the pay would be better. Again, I am assuming. The job said WFH with occasional in person for meetings and trainings. I have not spoken with anyone at Visible which is why I am trying to gain some insights here.
Ya Verizon is moving from legacy titles trying to match the modern world. Are you bay area? I'm in NJ and highest I hear for band 6 is 190ish.
