TC at Burns & McDonell for Senior Engineer
Hello! I’m an automation/SCADA engineer with 10 years of experience. I’ve a Masters degree too from the US. I am interviewing for the position of Senior Engineer at Burns & McDonell, Chicago. They wanted to know my TC expectations and I’m clueless. I don’t want to ask for something way above my pay grade and at the same time I don’t want to low ball. My current TC is $140k. Following. I have 7ish years enginnering experience and just received an offer from Burns & McDonnell for a staff engineer position for $90k base ($115k base + bonus) and I don’t feel like that’s a fair offer for my experience. (Engineering degree + PE license + PMP + 8 years professional experience) They sell you on the ESOP, but I have senior engineer experience and am curious of what I should counter for.
