Hey folks! I got contacted by Vlocity, Series B startup with ~100M investment. It is backed by Salesforce and has a product built on top of Salesforce CRM. They offer 180-200K base + RSUs. I currently make over 330K by doing some side projects in addition to my FTE. Anyone here works for them? Any feedback? Does it make sense to join them now with a hope to get to IPO within a few years and get a good compensation from RSUs? Thank you!
What makes you think they will ever IPO if their business model is built on top of another company’s product? It’s plainly obvious they will be acquired by Salesforce on of these days. Heck, their office is even inside Salesforce HQ
Depends on how much you think the company would be worth when it got acquired/ipoed. Take that value, divide that by the current valuation, then multiply your RSU value to see what it could be worth in the theoretical. Hard to tell without knowing the value of the RSUs you're getting and what the current valuation is.
I work for them. I cannot tell you what the exit strategy is but the company is doing well and we just had a great third quarter. PM me if you want to discuss more.
Hey I just saw this thread and was reached out to by a recruiter of theirs for a Sales Engineer position. Are you still available to discuss?
Curious how this panned out for ya. In light of the news
I worked previously for Vlocity. All the engineers got screwed. I am glad I moved out to Salesforce at the right time
What’s the fmv/preferred price and strike price for the option?
What’s the situation with vlocity now? Have been offered a customer success role. Worried that layoffs may happen after the Salesforce acquisition closes.
Question - Do you have Salesforce experience?
