I'm taking the technical immersive interview for vmware tanzu labs in a few days, and wanted to know if anyone else has gone through it. I'm told it's first a pair programming exercise where you implement a story in a codebase, then a system design/architecture round. FYI it's for a tanzu client that is supposedly looking to increase the # vmware consultant devs by ~15, which is what this hiring is for Does anyone know what language the coding portion is in? HR / Hiring team should share this, just reach out
The recruiter had no idea what language. Only confirmed that people who don't know Java (which was used in the first technical) can do just fine
Now hiring and later will fire. Stay away from vmware atleast for another 6 months
The goal is to test your understanding of the concepts and not your mastery of the language… Feel free to ask your interview about the correct syntax if you’re unsure. For example: I want to do X, how do you write X in language Y.
Stay away from VMware and further away from anything Tanzu.. Watch for the Jan 2023 bloodbath
What's wrong with Tanzu?
Not all members of Tanzu family are making money, most of the Tanzu family was forced upon VMware, they consume much compared what they bring, most senior core leadership already cashed out and moved on, they are on chopping block unless Hock really meant what he meant on the blog
Yes , there will be blood bath in tanzu labs for sure.
Hiring Mgr said the tanzu client is aiming to bring on at least 15 more devs
Away from Vmware!!!
Don’t join , you will be first in line for 🪓
Agree pls avoid unless issue in current company..
They're mass firing in my org rn and vmware is willing to pay a lot idk what to do
Go through with the interview first. Get an offer. Then decide. Is there a risk with Tanzu? Sure. But it doesn’t matter if you don’t get the offer first.
Fair enough.. thanks
Got an offer for a good amount more than I make
Vmware still hiring ?
Yes, lol.
