I am seeing lots of PIP talk about Amazon and Facebook. Let’s see the rate of people who got PIPed at Amazon here. Please vote only if you currently work or has ever worked for Amazon. I didn’t include whether you got over it or had to leave as that will make the poll messy. Let’s keep it simple. (Vote for you only not your colleagues)
Whats pip
21 mins since poll opened and about a 50% PIP rate. Ho, boy.
Makes me wanna buy Amazon stock

This is scary ... 30% pip'd?!
This scares me. I am going to join Amazon next year as new grad :(
So the chances of PIP after 2nd year is much much lower. Just need to work hard in the first two years which you have to do that anyway to get promoted or more RSUs.
No you have the causality reversed: people who don't get PIP in the first two years are generally the kind that can survive at Amazon. I bet PIP become more likely as you get promoted over the years.
exactly, most people will get managed out in the first two years. you get a lot of support from others by year 2. newcomers are easy targets: few connections, no experience with amazon politics, lack of support, easy to make up underperformance story for to meat quotas.
TC or GTFO.
Please, don’t police here let us enjoy the poll
1 in 4 get piped according to the poll.
It's closer to 10%
That is for the people with over two years. I guess once they gain the trust, they have better chance. For less than two years, it seems ratio is close between who survived and didn’t.
my two teammates got PIPed at amzn. does this count?
Vote as non PIP then
i have worked at amzn before.
