Are hiring managers and companies genuinely conducting interviews to fill positions, or are they just fishing around?

Salesforce: Completed a full interview loop, but then they went on a hiring freeze earlier this year. Capital One: Completed 1 CodeSignal test, followed by 3 coding rounds and 2 managerial/behavioral rounds. After a rigorous full loop, I received a lowball offer as a Manager/Tech lead. Geico: Went through 3 rounds of coding and system design, followed by 4 managerial rounds, only to receive a lowball offer of $240k for a Senior Manager position. Latitude.AI: 2 rounds of coding and system design, followed by a full loop of 3 managerial rounds, only to receive a lowball offer of $200k base + rest as FORD Stock (total Comp 320K) as a Manager Oracle OCI: Completed 2 initial technical screens (LC Medium and System Design), followed by a full loop of 6 rounds. Two weeks after, I received feedback that everyone enjoyed speaking with me, but unfortunately, they chose someone they felt was a better fit. Microsoft: Just received an email this morning from a recruiter for a Sr. SWE role, L62 or L63, I don't even know what to say, I highly doubt if he even has glanced at my resume in the system. lol what for? no one wants to trend negatively in their careers

Snap pfenwick Apr 25

It'll be hard to trend positively if you're trending towards C1 and Geico 🤷

Its been awhile since my gutter of an offer from c1 but my interview was not so intensive. I wasnt aware it became such a prestigious place to work lol.

Amazon GooseReck OP Apr 26

It's never a prestigious place, C1 recruiters think that they are prestigious , I am an L6 SDM at AWS and they offered me a manager role , their managerial interviews are a joke honestly, one guy talks about hiring and firing, other one talks about diversity, I couldn't even sense what kind of leaders they are looking for

Excuse me OP, I have an Amazon L4 loop next week. I did each question on Blind 75 4-5 times now (skipped DP, Hard, and Premium questions). Is that enough to pass the 3 coding rounds? thank you!

Amazon GooseReck OP Apr 26

That depends on your interviewer; usually for L4, L5 and L6 will do the interview. Say he is bar raiser he/she might ask the LC hard, DP. It all depends on the time, day, and your luck when it comes to this kind of questions. But if you have practiced most Leetcode, you should be good
