My parents are coming from India to the US for 3 months. I thought of buying Tata AIG insurance for 42715 INR. However the online reviews are not good. Does anyone know which insurance would be the best? TC 300K
Its complicated. I tried taking insurance in US through IMG but not sure how it works. There is no clarity on how any of insurance works. I tried calling them and asking for more details. Their reply typically be there are lot of clauses and you will know when you get a detailed bill from IMG after treatment. So, i am not sure what that bill will look like and what will get covered through that. If anyone has different experiences, please share. Taking insurance for parents for their US trip is a big question and no clear answer anywhere.
Travel insurance from Indian insurance companies are useless. They expect you to pay everything out of pocket and then claim reimbursement and even then they will try to deny claims giving made up reasons.
I shopped from visitorscoverage.com
You can add them to your us insurance. Some allow you to add them for an additional $100 only. Just look up the terms for your insurance
are you sure?
Don’t get this insurance. Get a US based travellers for easier claim filing.
Infplans covers really well - I took for mom and it covered an er visit like 90%
Don’t get from Indian- I took inf plans with a google discount and it covered pretty well

Hush money trial. What's your prediction?
Use the one that works with the US Healthcare system like the ones from https://www.insubuy.com/. A lot of non US insurance only does reimbursement, which means you have to pay out of pocket first and then reimburse it when you get back to your home country.
