Are IBM, Cisco good companies to FIRE? Any other companies?
Our NW is about 5M and spouse plans to work atleast another 10 years (tc: 600k, Bay Area). I want to focus on our middle school kids, so looking for something where I can get by working 20 hours a week. I’m not ready to be a complete SAHP yet, but am done with the grind. What are my options? Tc: 500k

9.1M, 38yo. I think I'll probably be grinding for the next 20 years, trying to make Principal and then maybe move to a company where I can really get paid for it. After that though, I'll be looking for a chill job for the 20 years after that

Cisco layoffs happen every year lol
In a similar position. My ideal is remote anywhere at 20h per week. Not sure if that is feasible. I'll let you know if I find anything. Let me know if you find anything. Are Cisco ans ibm remote at all?
My buddy works for IBM and they’re doing RTO or hybrid with min of 3 days in office.
