Hey! I’m considering a google offer and I saw that Google’s only provider for Washington is Anthem. I can’t find any surgery centers in the Puget Sound area that take Anthem in-network. It’s 30% after meeting your deductible for the out-of-network coverage. Compared to Amazon and Microsoft who offer Premera Blue Cross (10% after deductible), this seems really low. What do you Googlers in WA do for your health plans? 350, 4
My Anthem coverage is superior to Premera in every way but one - no coverage for massage therapy. Seriously, it’s great. Things my doctors say shouldn’t be covered always are and the a Pharmacist told me last summer my insurance coverage continued to amaze her. I had lots of health issues last year and can confirm there are separate out of pocket maximums for in and out of network and they are both reasonable.
How is this possible? Most providers don’t accept Anthem Blue Cross as in-network. The OOP max was like 5500. For Aetna, it’s a 2,500 out of pocket maximum out of network, $1,500 max in network

What do you think the Fed will do tomorrow?
Anthem is the only option. Not as great coverage as Premera but the out of pocket max is much lower than what I saw for amazons package. I could be wrong but I chose google over the other two when comparing my offers
Out-of-pocket max applies to the out-of-network providers too, right?
Yes I think it says somewhere how much if your in network OOP applies to your out of network OOP and vice versa. I’m surprised there are no surgery centers that are in network but I luckily have not had to cross that bridge yet.
