Know someone who ordered âAirPodsâ on Temu. She did receive it. Itâs obviously not real, but for $13.99, canât complain
Chinese spyware, international version of pinduoduo. Lure you in with cheap garbage (I'm talking absolute garbage, bottom of the barrel even with made in China standard), they make money while stealing your info, address, spending habit, etc. Search pinduoduo android exploit, you'll thank me later
I downloaded it after their super bowl commercial. One look and I knew it was basically just a US distribution of Alibaba knockoff products
Iâve actually ordered a customized hoodie from Temu for $13 bucks, while it costs over $40 bucks elsewhere. Shipping took two weeks tho
People complaining about account info , addresses etc : Do you think a giant corporation canât access your stolen data for like 10 cents a piece ? They are trying to gain a user base which always wanted to show off but didnât have money
You even donât need the app. I never download an app unless absolutely needed . Just use the website and use the IG **** code at checkout for 30% more discount + use different email IDs( donât create new just add xyz.1@email add .1 .2 and it will recognize as new email and email still comes to your original
Wait what code? Which code do you put to get 30%??
I just received my first order from them. Big discount, so bought a bunch of random stuff⌠usb adapters, flash card reader, motion sensing puck lights, etc. For the price it was worth rolling the dice. The stuff is all cheap, made in China, and a lot of it ships from China so youâll be waiting about 10 days. Quality is what I expected. Not garbage, but not stellar. What you see is basically what you get. The usb adapters work perfectly, but the fitment is iffy, so how long they will last is anybodyâs guess. For less than $1 each, it is what it is. The puck lights are passable. $2 each. Barely bright enough and the motion sensors need the motion to be really close and obvious to work. The ones you get at Home Depot for $5 each are worlds better. You get what you pay for. I put some other stuff in my cart and left it there. They sent an additional $5 off coupon, so said âwhat the heckâ and ordered $30 worth of stuff. Handheld game console with a bunch of NES games, outdoor motion activated light, car sun shade, and some electrical crimp connectors. They should be here in a week or so. Expecting the same iffy quality, but for the price, my expectations ainât exactly high. Iâd consider Temu the digital equivalent of the classic Dollar Store. Ultra cheap stuff thatâs somewhere between almost junk and âjust good enoughâ. Probably a godsend for low income folks.
Thank you for these remarks. Thatâs a good metaphorâ itâs the dollar store
The look and feel is really similar to Aliexpress. I have had a few horrible experiences with Aliexpress, so I am not interested in buying anything from a website that looks like it. I would rather spend a couple of extra bucks on Amazon, which has easy returns and complaint procedures.
Some believe it's a gov sponsored personal info (name, phone, address, GPS, etc) data collector
