I'm considering a position at citadel or citadel securities working on infra, and from what I gather most devs work ~60 hour weeks on the reg. Can anyone from that firm attest to the accuracy of that number? In addition, any thoughts on pros/cons of working at the company are appreciated -- my understanding of career growth, stress level, culture are app murky at this point. TC 385
Don’t go there. If you break the build twice, you are out.
Is your TC what Citadel is offering? I hear that there is big upside there if you perform, but if not they will let you go. In terms of WLB I’ve heard a big range, in general it sounds worse, but people seem to tolerate it because of the potential upside.
Inexistent if you're not cream of the crop. If you're a legitimate top performer in the field, wlb will be fine. If you plan to be a quant, wlb becomes better in my experience.
