Pros: - Poses ranging from beginner to expert, very easy to increase the difficulty without additional equipment - Focus on breathe and movement has cmindfullnes effects similiar to meditation. Good for anxiety and depression - Streches help keep you feeling loose and relaxed while cooped up all day. Streching and flexibility in general is a huge boost to quality of life - Lots of free yoga workouts online and on youtube that you can play on your#lockdown tv or laptop to follow along with. You can find workouts and instructors tailored to your goals/skill level - Not much space is needed, enough for a mat and some space for your arms/legs - Workouts can be anywhere from 10-60 minutes. I usually do 20-30 minutes videos - Builds strength in larger muscles and stabilizers/smaller groups. Cons: - Hard to build noticable muscle mass - Can be tricky to learn 100% from videos if you haven’t take classes in studios before (picking up on small ques like micro adjustments and how your body is built) - Harder to target your back, biceps and pecs. You might want to buy a pullup bar and do pushups as well
You can make the exact same arguments for weight lifting or jumping rope.
Crazy how miserable everyone is here who is posting argumentative responses. The irony is these are the people who need to see this message the most.
I just dug out my 7 years old Kinect and it still works.
My girl started meditation since the world ended. She seems to love it and tells me it helps her alot.
Most important con... Easy to injure yourself, in many kinds of yoga. Don't practice new yoga poses without a teacher
