How is it being a seasonal associate software engineer for H&R Block? How is the WLB for seasonal associates swes?
Depends on Team
They get high ratings for WLB because of the seasonal employees. Expect to work a ton of hours Oct-Mar and be burnt to a crisp at the end of the season just to be laid off (mandatory furlough which makes you eligible for unemployment). Management likes to greet you with a "welcome back from vacation" after forcing you to rely on unemployment which often runs out before you go back each season and then wonder why you come back all stressed.
Is this some kind of contract job?
I think so. It seems that H&R has seasonal opportunities for SWEs.
