Coworkers are bringing their kids to the office so they don’t pay for daycare/summer camps. WTF! This is so annoying
tbh, so what? These folks are struggling man, give them a break
wait what do they do there? like they’re running around the office by themselves? sitting in parent’s cube?
I saw a full 10 seater meeting room booked and kids in there.
wow. that’s pretty bold really.
I want to file a complaint with HR to be honest.
just run a false flag and pin some damage on the kids
You should. That's the right way to handle it
I used to bring my 2 kids often when they were young (ages 4&6 until ~8&10). Usually during breaks or school in service days. Not all the time, but often enough people knew them by name. But I also set clear expectations for them: Be respectful, quiet as a church mouse, etc. It was business as usual (other than occasionally walking them to the bathroom) and most people commented on how polite they were. They even sat through dozens of meetings with senior VPs in the room who never knew they were there (except one time about 1.5hours into the meeting when my son laughed out loud at a joke in the book he was reading). Kids in the office aren’t inherently a problem. But bad parenting is a problem in any environment.
Your son did interrupt a meeting by laughing tho
Lolol
Haha... This $hit does not get old. I worked there from 2007-2012. This used to be the norm. I was in a meeting and a kid in the next meeting room threw a ball on the wall thinking this was his playground because his mom was a manager of a team. I was single so didn't know why child care / summer camp is not an option. I have kids now and I still don't have a reason to justify this behavior.
Kinda weird, tho maybe eBay should offer an in office daycare esp if they are requiring it. Before the pandemic some companies had this.
Good for them. Gotta do what yoy gotta do. Get over it.
Love it. Force your leaders to stop RTO
So true. Why is this being allowed?? Ridiculous
I have no idea…
Are you married?
