I’m currently in the loop with Algolia and was wondering if anyone can attest to culture and work? They definitely seem to be working at scale with search as a service, and it’d be a refreshing change for me to move to a company that’s more tech oriented. Thoughts much appreciated! Assuming you are in the US, you should know that non-EU R&D is still fairly new and it isn't always easy for US PMs or engineers. But overall the culture is great, a lot of people are very talented and the tech is very interesting. The R&D org is growing quickly so there are many opportunities and interesting projects.
Hey, thanks for taking the time to reply, very much appreciated! Yeah, the current role I’m interviewing for is in the US. Would you be able to elaborate a little on potential difficulties for engineers in the US? Wanted to get a feel if it’s referring to less technical opportunities or having to accommodate EU times/potential politics? If you prefer, I’d love to learn more via DMs as I am super interested in the company and work.
