I got an offer, but i am not too familiar with their space as in how they compete well with others. They were last valuated at 4B which with the rsus i was given is around 300k over 4 years. Thoughts??

You interviewed and got an offer but don't know anything about them? That should have been one of the first questions asked of you or you of them
omg enough of this putting down shit. if you don't want to answer then don't but there is nothing wrong with asking a reasonable question to peers in the industry
Mom put down, it's an interviewing 101 question; to know about the company you're interviewing at.
Cloudera rsu's are close to their max valuation if at all there is a liquidation event. I would not bet on 300K becoming 600. I interviewed with them 4 years ago and they had revenue of 20mil per year, I bet they would have gone IPO if they made close to 100m today.
I would be happy with a lower bound ipo of 300k, it works to 75k a year in stock + 160k base. Im worried more about their stock tanking after ipo. Im aware of their tech and space, just not how they compete with amazon etc..
Look at the offer. U lose all equity if u leave before ipo. It's a terrible unheard of package. Let me know if you're interested in uber.
It's so sad that Uber folks come in here with a desperate attempt to recruit folks with negative speculations of another company's potential. After all the recent negative press on Uber.. guess you can't blame them

Lol, do look at Hortonworks' stock. I think all big data companies are in deep trouble.
