Wait Meta E5 offer from two HW teams. FRL AR/VR ML Arch and Infra Arch No numbers yet (maybe early next week). Looks like 200k base, 600k RSU, 100k sign on is typical range for HW/ASIC recently. Any comments for both team? Any strategy for negotiation with recent stock down? Update. I choose infra team and the last offer is 188k/512k/15% bonus/50k (Austin) Blind Tax. 320k, 5yoe after phd
But Nvidia could go up too. Why leave Nvidia? TC diff not big enough to switch.
Could be. Especially my ESPP lock price is about 110 so TC wise, not big enough. I am little bit tired in current team so want to refresh and some break. Both of teams are interested.
Pls post the numbers when u have them next week
Update
Congrats on the offer. Is infra arch also ML role?
Max E5 for HW will be $210/$600k/$60k. This is for bay area. Will be 10-15% less in Austin
Did they increase the RSU band recently? 600K seems really high.
May be 2022 adjustment?
Let me know if you need any info on ar vr org or team.
Hey I'm in similar situation making decision between VR and AR orgs . Do you have any insight into differences in terms of culture, WLB, and growth potential ?
Not really. Both org should be part of wider RL org. For ASIC define, there is only one group under RL.
Had one call with manager today and will have another call with other team manager tomorrow. I have an offer from others, which will be expired on Wed, I ask them bring the result by tomorrow. Will update when the number is available
Did you hear back
Meta HR is super slow. I had to ask the other company to push two more days. Didn't get the response yet but I don't want to accept it and flip it later with Meta offer.
@op : congratulations! 2 questions: 1. why did you select infra team over FRL ? Any insights you can share ? 2. Also, can I DM ? Would like to discuss few things for upcoming…
Op- is this position under the meta FAST ( Facebook agile Silicon team) ?
Is this onsite in Austin or remote?
Should be onsite Austin. I got the exact same with reduced base since am remote in a LCOL area in TX.
Did you accept? I think they change comp based on your own location, not whether or not it's on-site.
Hey @OP could you share your interview experience
Perfect time to join Meta. If you join in March the stock grant price is based on February average.
This is correct. Join in March to get average february price. It's like buying dip but with RSU's.
Maybe joining April after March vesting. Hope it's not too late
