Wait for PERM approval or change jobs?
My PERM got an audit request last month and Microsoft filed the response recently. I'm in my third year of initial H1B. In the meantime, I have an offer from Facebook. Should I move now and start the process all over again, or wait a few months till PERM approved, I140 approval? For those who got a PERM audit, how long did it take to get the approval?
If you are close to 1-140 approval, advisable to wait. 1-140 goes a long way in renewals beyond your 6yr limit on H1B, regardless of company
If it’s just at the PERM stage, you can move on. FB will probably have some pending PERM certified they can use directly to file for i140
What was the audit reason?
Move if you’re not Chinese or Indian, since you will get GC pretty fast even starting all over again.
Don’t wait, make money.
Perm stage? Move on. If it's i140 (or if your nationality is Indian or Chinese), wait.
