Hi all! Would anyone be able to share the key benefits Walmart has? For example: health insurance plans, leave policy, remote work and employee stock purchase plans, or anything else you think is unique to Walmart. Thanks in advance! TC: 350k Location: Bay Area
The answers above has assumed the role is with global tech in the Bay Area. OP you need to specify location and what division in WMT. Those in BV have different leave policies and insurance plans.
That’s a great flag, thank you! Sorry I should have clarified I’m in the Bay Area. Will update post! Thanks!!
Why would you leave Apple for Walmart?
For more autonomy and growth opportunities.
What area of Walmart would you be joining? - 10% off Walmart - Free Sam’s Club Membership - solid healthcare/vision/dental - unlimited PTO. In my area, it’s def not a scam. My manager had a meeting with me because I wasn’t taking enough time off. - remote work (although gotta be in CA) - $270 of free stock if you buy $1800 (pretty low tbh, but just think of getting $2k of stock at a ~15% discount each year)
ATT 4GB plan is 10$ per month. Really a good surprise plan
Ohh that’s an interesting one! I forgot Apple won’t pay for my carrier plan anymore 🙈
Can anyone share the paternity leave policy for Sunnyvale employees?
Health insurance is pretty good. HSA, PPO, HMO Unlimited PTO for salaried employees, which is a scam. Global tech had remote work for foreseeable future ESPP is 🥜. Matches 270$ a year 10% off on Walmart for employees.
Thank you for the info! Is the health insurance United? What’s the annual deductible and coverage? I heard the deductible is much higher than other plans. $270 for ESPP is purely embarrassing lol they shouldn’t even have done that!! 10% off at Walmart isn’t bad though :)
