Walmart I140 timeline?

When does Walmart actually starts the GC process for its new employees? After starting PERM process, it took 2+ years to get i140 approved. Paid for premium processing out of pocket. Between every step with the government, there will be 1 - 2 months delay with the lawyers. It adds up quickly
How long it took to get your PERM and labour approval? When they initiated the process after joining?
PERM approval and Prevailing Wage Determination is highly dependent on DOL timelines and not Walmart. I was told Walmart has 2 independent criteria. 1. An H1B 2. 1 year with Walmart. Not sure about how universally these are applied. They do batch processing. They'll ask you for documents and then wait for everyone's documents to be ready or for 3 months whichever is early. Then file simultaneously for Prevailing wage determination. Eventually the handling becomes more specific to the individual. It appears though that the whole interaction is designed to save costs and used as a form of golden shackles
I negotiated hard for immediate GC application, but it looks like it’s not negotiable for me since it’s a policy based on what they said. But I think if your h1b is expiring soon, you might have more room to negotiate.
Yes they are prompt to start it once 90 days are done. You can follow up with your manager. All steps take time and its mostly because your petition is either waiting for prevailing wage step or perm filing. In my experience my lawyers have always been prompt and available to answer my questions. The faster you are ready with documents faster is the process

Joined in Jan 2021 and PERM process started in Aug 2021... expecting I140 premium in April 2022.
When was the document collection started? What about labour? I assume that it started before Aug 2021
Have you received DOL response regarding the wage determination?
I recently got my i140. Started in feb 2020 Got it in dec 2021 There was some delay from my side. Others who started with me got it in July 2021

Walmart GC filing happens 4 times in a year. Also, ask your manager to send your PERM nomination on your day of joining so that you don’t lose your round. Because the deadline for nomination ends one month before any filing cycle
if I join on April 6th then do i loss the nomination for August cycle if I ask my manager on July 6th ?
Email immigration team in may and cc your manager. So that they send out the nomination email to your manager in july and you don’t miss the August cycle
I am not answering the question but I would not trust even if you end up negotiating that. 90 days is nothing. They could just agree to initiating immediately and drag their feet for months.
