I am confused between two offers - Walmart Labs (San Bruno) and AWS (New York). Both are similar in terms of compensation but Walmart is offering a Senior Data Scientist position whereas AWS is L4. I am a recent graduate and have 3 years of work experience in Data Science and Analytics. Looking for core Machine Learning work and not getting stuck in just the Analytics bit. #walmart #aws #datascience #amazon
I wouldn’t recommend amazon.
@PagerDoody, any specific reasons why?
What is the TC of the offers? What team in AWS?
Go with AWS
AWS for sure
What’s the “prestige” difference between Amazon and AWS? Btw, Walmart TC is way lower than Amazon. Any chance to push Walmart?

I would recommend AWS - better brand value, better quality of work. Quality of work is more important than title.
Is the quality of Data Science teams much worse at Walmart?
You have the amazon tag. You should know 😉 forced attrition, terrible wlb etc.
