Walmart Labs vs Oracle DB
Need to decide among the following offers - Walmart Labs - IN4 (SSE) : TC ~46.5, 30 FIXED + retirals + 7.5 yearly bonus + 7.5 yearly stock. There is also sign on stock worth 7.5 Oracle DB: 40 FIXED + STOCK (TC ~46)[verbal] The team with Oracle is starting from scratch and it's developing paas component for OCI and requirement is directly driven by them. Probably I would be first member to join IDC, team is in US. Can anyone please suggest which one looks good. Walmart labs isn't bad, but retail can have it's up and downs. Oracle gives a better resume.

Walmart TC LOOKS for IN4 Walmart gives stocks value over 4 years in offer letter. Many people realised this after joining because of the language in offer letter. I suggest to check that out first.
Walmart grants stocks every year. But each grant vests over 4 years. Every company has a similar vesting period of course. Get your facts straight mate.
Let's say they show equity 20L in offer letter that means u will get 5L first year, next year 5L+5L because of refresher.. and so on but many people assumed it 20L per year.. I'm saying from experience because several people didn't realize it at the point of joining there
Walmart has a lot of bad cultured teams. Their pay also has lots of variable components which depends on your performance(few people got 0 bonus too). Don't like their vesting cycles as well, Stocks part is tricky. Choose Walmart very cautiously. Not sure about DB org but OCI is definitely a good place to work. Db org is also considered a higher tier org compared to others. We also started as a new team here in OCI IDC, quality of work, growth and culture is good here.
Oracle IDC db org is shit show. No good work you'll get some junk work. Also don't expect any hikes for at least 2yrs

Maybe 500. Stocks depends on team.
Just 1 thing - run away from Oracle DB org, especially under Andy. Bullying culture is prevalent, and is encouraged by higher management. Managers aren't good human beings.
Go for Walmart, but beware stocks allocated is vested only 25 perc each year hope you understand it.

@xtml60 hikes are fair and good.If you arr ok performer 10 percent, exceeds varies from 11 to 16 percent and excellent is till 20
