I am close to getting an offer from Walmart for PM director in Bay Area. Years of experience is 15. The recruiter provided a verbal offer indication of: Base : 243K Equity: 140 K pa Bonus 30% of base Can anyone provide any feedback on whether this is a good offer for the role? Do I have any leeway to negotiate?

$18K base? That’s not even close to the minimum for a non-exempt employee.

You can make that much as an L5 PM at Google with no reports owning one small feature in a larger product.

OP..do check the vesting schedule with Walmart..I am talking to them for a Staff role. They said, every year you get 100k as RSU till the 3rd year. 33% of the the assigned RSU is vested. So, that means on the 3rd year, TC will be base + 100k. Post 3rd year, it depends on your refreshers to maintain your TC.

This is wrong. It’s $100k RSU every year, with a 3yr vesting periods, paid out evening every 3 months. There is not stopper after 3 years

You should ask for $140k sign on rsu and atleast 50k sign on cash.
Tbh the amount of work as a director of product you need to deal with is more than that 450k tc. You should ask for 50k sign on and new hire RSUs of 200k over 3 years. New hire RSUs vest right away and not subject to yearly review grant. You Walmart regularly RSUs won’t be granted until next April, not this year but 2025

Directors get 150k stocks vested monthly over 3 years. And bonus is supposed to be 25%. You can get 150k stocks as a new hire grant too
