Hey Blind! Would love feedback on this verbal I received from #walmart for Principal Product Manager. 210k base Bonus 25% 100 New hire RSU vesting quarterly over 3 yrs 100K RSU grant starting next yr and vesting over 3 yrs No cash sign on was offered Location - Seattle I calculate yearly TC to be around 290k in yr 1 My current total TC is 277k w/ 10 YOE as product manager and 3 YOE as a front end developer.
Why will you take a pay cut?
I updated it with the bonus. Base pay is lower but overall TC would be higher when you factor in stock. T-Mobile only offers 15k RSU per year.
Your current TC is way better which is base heavy. Bonus is variable and subject to lots of ifs and buts. I wouldn’t take this offer
Total TC would be hire with Walmart when you factor bonus and stock. TMO only offer 15k rsu per year. Also, Tmobile isn’t in a great place. Culture and morale are in the dumpster.
How does Walmart hiring at Seattle? Do they have office there?
What are u going to work on at Walmart??
Walmart+ subscriber growth.
Please join Walmart and improve Walmart+ experience. Quite ordinary at best.
By any chance are you on H1b visa transfer? My visa is also being transferred to Walmart and I have some questions.
I’m not, but best of luck with the transfer!
Did an interview for principal PM in March and yet to get any response. How long did they take to come back after your onsite virtual loop?
You don’t get the annual grant till April btw
You get two types of grants New hire grant Annual grant They both vest over 3 years You don’t get the annual grant until April of next year (2024) Also if company doesn’t meet target it can be like 80% of what you are targeting so like $80k over 3 years
How was the loop? Mostly behavioral? Or did they have product sense/strategy/execution/sysdes?
It was mostly behavioral but then had two informal conversations with Sr. Directors and VP. The people were great; super friendly and easy to talk to. It really gave me a sense for the culture.
Awesome thanks for sharing. Saw a principal role on my feed and was thinking about applying.
Location?
Seattle. Just updated the post and included bonus info
