Hello. I need help with evaluating a Staff Product Manager offer at Walmart. I have 6+ years of experience in product management. This is the initial offer which I have received Base range: 170k Performance Bonus: 20% Annual Equity Grant: $80k/yr New Hire Equity Grant: $80k Location:Sunnyvale RSUS are granted in quarter in April every year and vests quarterly over three years Question: How much can I negotiate? #walmartsalary #productmanagersalary #walmart
Are you willing to negotiate in this market? Offer looks good, if you try negotiation another candidate might be waiting to accept it. Depends on your situation though.
Obviously, I don't want to just accept the offer they present me with. The recruiter himself said there is room for negotiation and this is just the starting offer.
Shoot for 10-15% more on the base and maybe try to negotiate the cash bonus
You can try for base 180-200 Bonus % and RSU is fixed for same level throughout Walmart and I don’t think it can be changed. Best option would be to asking for little higher base or joining bonus if that doesn’t work Good luck
How much is average TC over 4 years?
How much total YOE? Base seems like it could be higher. I think Walmart isn’t as aggressive with stock.
Yes, I heard too they are not that aggressive with stocks
Which org? Depends on the org
We’re you able to negotiate? Got an offer too and I’m debating if they will budge or not on the base.
You can push to 180-200k on salary. 100-120k for new year grant. Or ask for a sign on. I’m Staff PM there now.
Thank you for sharing! Super helpful
What were the final numbers? Also is principal above staff?
Walmart is handing out Staff titles with 6YOE now? Damn
Do you mean it's too much or too less?
Staff at 6YOE for a company that size seems really senior, but good on you for getting that offer
