Asking for a friend - I interviewed and got an offer for SWE intern at Walmart Global Tech but my offer letter says Walmart Ecommerce Intern. My recruiter says it’s the same thing but I am not convinced (the pay seems kinda low even for swe intern lol). Does anyone know if they are actually the same thing? #tech #walmart #walmartecommerce #swe #intern #internship
It’s more or less the same
If they are the same, wouldnt they specify in the beginning of the interviews? Not sure why they would be interchangeable if at all
All swe should be under global tech, your internship is probably just focus on e-commerce division. Global tech spans across multiple divisions including stores
It’s the same. Earlier it was e-commerce. Name got changed to global tech. Looks like not yet updated in some systems
You will be sent to deliver packages
It's the same. The umbrella of Global Tech changed to cover omnichannel including stores, hence your letter specifying the e-commerce side. Do you not want to do the e-commerce side and focus on store tech?
Location? And Pay?

Did he not discuss when he interviewed what the role would be like , and how much is it paying
He did - all his interviews were technical rounds. It’s just that the offer letter says different role title than expected
