Asians - what are your thoughts on asian female white male ?
Walmart is paying an average salary of $210k to store managers, including new grads. If tech roles can’t keep up with retail managers, I’m going to get sized for a blue vest.
Work in retail dealing with your typical Walmart customers? Managing fed up/underpaid Walmart employees? Why do you hate yourself?
Have to work in person, deal with general public, manage entry level workers, etc. No thanks.
You think it’s an easy job?
Clearly you didn’t read the article. Read again. Starting salary is 65k. More experienced managers CAN make 200k
Why do you think IT job is superior than store manager job ? Some UPS drivers are making more money than IT employees working in UPS. If you are looking higher wages (IT job) then you may need to work in technology companies.
Y’all need to read You start at $65K for 2 years then you may get promoted to manager The average salary of a manager is $200K What it won’t tell you is that a lot of store managers have been there for a decade
A big walmart can have hundreds of employees. Managing hundreds of low skilled people is arguably harder than managing hundreds of engineers. Most engineers are invested in their careers at least a little bit, working for walmart is like an adversarial relationship lol
I mean Glenn on Superstore always seemed to make decent money. I don’t think this is new and the ratio of store managers is pretty damn low. There are like 4-5k Walmart’s in all of the US. Target has like 2k stores. How many dev jobs are there that pay more than 200k? It’s a hell of a lot more than that and many are entry level vs it taking years to make manager at a store like that. Never mind the level of responsibility being way higher as many have already pointed out.
And that $200k is salary plus bonuses based on hitting targets.

At least you have the option of sitting at home in your chair at those places. In Walmart your dealing with every type of individual on the face of the earth, EVERYDAY
