Got an offer from Walmart global tech for a Principal product manager in search team. Read in the news that Walmart changed their compensation model. I am not sure if I am being low balled. Can anyone help where I can negotiate? Base: 215k Rsu: 100k Bonus: 20% Sign on bonus: 50k New hire grant: 100k Location: San Bruno, CA I feel the rsu grant is super low. Current TC: 290k #walmartecommerce #walmart #walmartinterview #walmartsalary
This seems really low. Does Walmart pay so les
probably MCOL or LCOL location which makes the $215K+ base higher than $215K+ base in the Bay Area Ex: $215K base = $385K base in the Bay Area Ex: in NYC (Manhattan) it's $501K base When Meta offered me $437K TC (pre-2020), I declined because my take-home would only be a 6% increase. They wouldn't negotiate.
This is standard offer for L6
Your tc is 324 which is ok I guess (1.2*215+33+33)
YOE?
Seems consistent with this one Check out this post! "Walmart Principal Product Manager Offer Evaluation (Product Management Career)" https://www.teamblind.com/us/s/EWZswLux
it’s usually 100k/year, vested over 3 years (and paid quarterly). Great deal!
YOE?
8-9 years in PM and 11 years professionally
I was checking blind for more details. Looks like other candidates are offered Base : 225-230 K Sign on bonus: 90-100k either upfront or split over 2 years New hire rsu: 100-130k 3 years Bonus : 20% RSU refresh: 100 k over 3 years Potentially TC 430k ish. Correct me if I am incorrect. Looking for advice.
What is that new hire grant 100k? If you don’t mind sharing
You will not get 130k rsu anymore in 2023. Those were offers from 2022 when times were better or if you were in the ML team which btw saw their salary band adjusted lower. If you dont take the offer there’s another who would gladly take it. Base of 215 is inline. Your signing bonus is decent considering you still got 100k new hire rsu. You can ask for 150k new hire rsu at this point and see what happens. Worse case is they will say no
100k RSU per year or is it over 4 years?
On level.fyi it says 3 years
