#engineering #software #swe #compensation #salary Walmart : Currently working in walmart as IN4 Current Compensation : 41 LPA (29L Base + 6L Annual Incentive + 6L RSU) Experience : 5.5 Years + MTech Tekion Offer: Senior Software Engineer Compensation : 50L - Base 3L - Joining Bonus 2L - Retention Bonus 6000 Units - ESOPs for period of 4 years (~15$ each) I will be getting annual hike (~12%) in walmart in March 2022 and current work is also quite good, WLB is also stable I am confused Whether switching to Tekion is good option with given package ? I tried negotiating with Tekion, seems they are not convincing. I would like to know your opinions on this
Value of Tekion’s stock will be 200$ in a few years. It has grown more than 10 times in last 2 years. Wlb is not as good as Walmart but managers are trying to fix it.
Make sure you understand the stock value and the strike price. You get the stock only if you pay the strike price of your options else they expire. Last year valuation was $7 with strike price $4+ I’m told the new valuation might be around $20 and we can expect strike price rise by same ratio (ie $12-15). If you have 1500 units per year, you might have to pay ~15L to own these options. And if their value is higher then you have to pay tax on (current value - 15L) as your perquisite income.
