Walmart vs AT&T for internship?
Posting for a friend. They have two SWE internship offers, one for Walmart eCommerce and AT&T. Details below: Walmart: - doing some backend work, not exactly sure yet - pay is 18000 for 10 weeks - location is Sunnyvale, CA AT&T: - focused around Go, Java, AWS - pay is 17680 12 weeks - location is El Segundo, CA Which one would be better for resume and career? You do know that AT&T is splitting from their video entertainment group right? Almost all of it will be DirecTV. There's bits of the business under AT&T that will remain under that name like support for HBO Max.
It’s a sad day when AT&T pays less than WALMART of all places. Tell them to go to AT&T if they want to be paid less for more work as long as they’re there. Only benefit to AT&T offer is working with AWS might be a more valuable skill overall.
